A Housewife pillowcase is also referred to as 'Standard'. It has a solid sewn edge and fits a standard size pillow. An Oxford pillowcase has a wide stitched flat hem around the edge to create a border.

Portland's hollow linen fibres make it a natural insulator: It retains heat from your body in winter and keeps you cool in summer by absorbing moisture.
Your Portland bedding is crafted from 100% flax fibres from Normandy, France. It is garment dyed, which gives it a distinctive look and results in every set being unique. Like a great pair of shoes, linen needs “breaking in”, and will get softer with every wash and sleep. The natural, relaxed look of linen means it does not need ironing. However, if you want to speed up the breaking in process, ironing and tumble drying will help.
We recommend washing your Portland bedding once a week.
